Alumni Richard House (2010)

Richard House joined the ABS in 2008 where he discovered a passion for choreography and was awarded the Graeme Murphy Award for Excellence in Contemporary Dance. He toured with The Dancers Company in 2010 and joined The Australian Ballet in 2011. Over his eight years with the company his career highlights include: Sir Frederick Ashton’s Monotones II, Jiri Kylian's Petite Mort and Forgotten Land, Third Movement Pas De Deux in George Balanchine’s Four Temperaments, Twyla Tharp’s In the upper room and Albrecht in Giselle. While with The Australian Ballet he choreographed six works for the company, being performed at the Sydney Opera House, State Theatre Melbourne and many other theatres around the nation. In 2018, Richard joined the Sarasota Ballet in the USA as a Soloist and has also choreographed a ballet for the company.
