Remi Wortmeyer graduated from the School in 2001. He spent eight years with The Australian Ballet dancing a vast repertoire including full-length principal roles. Remi has worked as a guest artist for companies and galas in the USA, UK, France, Italy, Russia, Germany, Japan, China, Australia, Finland, Czech Republic and the Baltic. He achieved 15th position in Dance Europe's critical list of the World's Top 100 Dancers after receiving immense recognition for his role as Aminta in John Neumeier's Sylvia.
He is currently Eerste Soloist (Principal Dancer) with Dutch National Ballet. Over the last nine years with this company Remi has choreographed many works including Penumbra, Passing Shadows, You Before Me, La Source, Bijou, One to Three, Fantaisie Impromptu, Eleventh Hour, The Phoenix, and Magdalene.
