STATEMENT OF COMMITMENT: CHILD SAFETY
The Australian Ballet School has a zero tolerance approach to child exploitation and abuse. We uphold the right of all children to be safe and protected and we adhere to both the National Principles of Child Safety and Victorian Child Safe Standards.
Child safety and wellbeing is embedded in the leadership, governance and culture of The Australian Ballet School through practice and ongoing training.
Children and young people in our care are informed about their rights and participate in decisions affecting them. We actively promote child safety to our families and community of supporters, audiences, contractors, volunteers and visitors.
We are all committed to the safety and wellbeing of children and young people and recognise the importance of, and a responsibility for, ensuring the School is a safe, supportive and enriching environment, which respects and fosters the dignity and self-esteem of children and young people, and enables them to thrive in their learning and development.
