Since launching the Family Support Programme, our team members have been busy introducing exciting initiatives, including the kick-off of the FSP Webinar Series with the inaugural event broadcast to the community on 4 April 2019. The Career Education and Development Information Session aimed at our senior students and parents/carers was also open to all full-time parents and students and attracted a wide audience on the evening. Lisa Pavane (Director) led the session with fellow panelists Simon Dow (Artistic Teacher & Resident Choreographer) and Andrew Murphy (Level 8 Artistic Teacher) providing a presentation followed by an open Q&A session.
The audience took the opportunity to interact with the panel in real-time, making the webinar a resounding success. The overwhelming positive feedback from the ABS community demonstrates both the value and appreciation of the event:
- “It’s made me appreciate the comprehensiveness of the career guidance program at the school and that the students should really tap into the great resource provided by the staff & teachers who are so willing to offer advice and feedback.”
- “A great addition to the school calendar and useful to hear the information directly from the panel. It is an important connection to the school”
- “I feel we are so very fortunate to be in a school with such a proactive team and how our children can access their knowledge.”
Following on the successful launch, our second webinar focusing on Dance Auditions, is scheduled for 13 June and we’re anticipating an invaluable and insightful session led by Simon Dow along with Lisa Pavane and Philippa Ziegenhardt (School Counsellor).
We are very pleased to have commenced a social media initiative during Term 2. Our Level 8 Graduates are being introduced to the public by profiling on both our Instagram and Facebook platforms throughout May and June. We warmly invite you to take a look and hope you enjoy meeting and reading about our talented graduates!
