Canadian Exchange Students

by The Australian Ballet School |

< Back to Ballet Matters

July each year is a very special time for us when we welcome our Canadian Exchange students. This year we had four students visit us for three weeks as part of our exchange programme with Canada’s National Ballet School. The students participated in classes with our Level 6 students and resided at Marilyn Rowe House during their visit. As well they explored the Great Ocean Road, our beautiful city of Melbourne and visited Royal Park Zoo.

We view participation in exchange programmes to be an invaluable experience that not only enriches the students dance training but also provides a chance to immerse in another country and culture. As is every year, it is wonderful to see how the universal language of dance can bring new learning and new friendships that form so quickly. As is custom, on the last day of the exchange student visit, Miss Maree prepares an ‘Aussie’ style farewell feast. We look forward to our ongoing relationship in our International Exchange programme with Canada’s National Ballet School.
