Meet Emmaline Beaufoy, one of our 2026 Level 8 students!
Born and raised in Geelong. Waltzing around in a pink tutu and cowboy boots, Emmaline quickly switched up the choice of footwear to ballet shoes and found her passion for dance at a young age. Leading her to train at Expressions Ballet Academy, where her love for the art form was first nurtured.
Now in her fifth year at The Australian Ballet School, Emmaline has had the privilege of working with a distinguished range of choreographers, including Simon Dow, Paul Knobloch, Stephen Baynes, Prue Lang and Lucas Jervies. These experiences have allowed her to develop versatility across both classical and contemporary repertoire.
While she holds a strong appreciation for the discipline and artistry of classical ballet, Emmaline is equally drawn to the creative exploration of contemporary dance. She is looking forward to the opportunities ahead, including touring nationally with The Australian Ballet and undertaking a secondment with Sydney Dance Company later in the year.
Outside of her training, Emmaline enjoys diving into the newest documentary, having long conversations in the gardens surrounded by her closest friends and some good retail therapy.
