Meet Amber Middleton one of our 2026 Level 8 students!
Born in Perth, Western Australia, Amber began dancing at just two years of age. She started in tap, jazz, and ballet, later expanding her training to include acrobatics, contemporary, and musical theatre. While she loved the versatility of multiple styles, her passion for ballet was cemented at an early age after attending her first ballet performance in 2015.
Growing up as a quiet child, Amber found in dance a powerful way to communicate emotion and tell stories when words did not always feel enough. She has been fortunate to work with inspiring mentors throughout her training, including esteemed coach and renowned RAD examiner Suzanne Arrigo, with whom she worked closely to refine her classical technique and artistic discipline.
In 2023, at the age of 15, Amber moved to Melbourne to commence Level 5 at The Australian Ballet School, pursuing full-time training and embracing the challenges of an intensive professional environment. A highlight of her time at the school has been performing in Paul Knobloch’s Grand Défilé at The Australian Ballet School’s 60th Anniversary Gala at the Sydney Opera House.
Amber celebrates her proud, diverse heritage, celebrating both her Australian roots and American background. A passionate ice hockey fan who loves the high stakes, thrill and intensity of the game, she also has a penchant for travel, delighting in the history and stories behind the places she explores. She brings that same curiosity and love of rich narrative into her dance as she continues to refine her technique and artistry.
