A much-loved tradition in The Australian Ballet School’s performance calendar, Morning Melodies: En Pointe once again brought students to the stage of Hamer Hall for two inspiring performances showcasing the skill, commitment and artistic growth of our students.
The program showcased students from Levels 6, 7 & 8 in a diverse range of classical and contemporary works. Défilé, Le Bal, Hutsulski Zabavy and Concerto Anniversary highlighted the technical skill, artistry and professionalism developed through The Australian Ballet School’s training program.

A standout moment of the program was Fight or Flight, performed with live brass accompaniment by musicians from The Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM), conducted by Yoram Levy. The Australian Ballet School and ANAM are both members of Melbourne’s esteemed Arts8 collective, a group of Australia's leading arts training institutions.

The enthusiastic response from audiences reflected the exceptional standard of the performances, with students embracing the opportunity to perform on one of Melbourne’s most prestigious stages. Morning Melodies: En Pointe remains a treasured tradition, providing invaluable performance experience while sharing the talent, dedication and passion of Australian Ballet School students with the wider community.
We also gratefully acknowledge the Lady Marigold Southey AC Artistic Enrichment Fund for supporting the the music and costumes.
