Meet Niamh Hill, one of our 2026 Level 8 students!
Born in Queanbeyan, New South Wales, Niamh began her ballet journey at the age of four. Her love of tutus and the colour pink, combined with her inability to sit still made ballet the perfect fit. Under the guidance of her teachers at Lisa Clark Dance Centre she developed her love for ballet and a passion for the stage where she embraced the opportunity to participate in numerous competitions. In 2022 she moved to Melbourne to join Level 4 at The Australian Ballet School where she has since been inspired by her many wonderful teachers and peers.
She has had the privilege of working with many esteemed choreographers such as Simon Dow, Paul Knobloch, Stephen Baynes, Prue Lang, and Lucas Jervies. Niamh’s love for dance emanates from the connection between music and movement making it a unique form of expression and storytelling. Some of her highlights since being at the school include dancing in Baynes’ Serenata, performing in Rudolf Nureyev's Don Quixote with the school and working on Lucas Jervies’ Concerto which was originally choreographed for Western Australian Ballet.
She is looking forward to joining The Australian Ballet’s National Tour in the middle of the year. Niamh is always on the lookout for her next hobby as she loves developing new skills. Her most consistent pastimes include exploring music, reading and long chats with friends.
