The Australian Ballet School On Tour: Taking the beauty of dance to regional communities!

by The Australian Ballet School |

After six months away, the next generation of ballet dancers from The Australian Ballet School is ready for their return to the stage in November, this time connecting with our audiences across Geelong and Horsham in regional Victoria. Emerging young artists and audiences will be reunited once more; it is an exciting moment and a wonderful performing opportunity!

This mixed program, includes Butterfly Suite, a collection of classical excerpts from Lucas' Jervies brand new production Butterfly set to premiere in Melbourne in December. What's more, we have a brilliant selection of classical and contemporary works exceptionally choreographed by Tim Harbour (former dancer and alumni of the School), Margaret Wilson (Guest Choreographer), Stephen Baynes (Resident Choreographer with The Australian Ballet), Simon Dow (Classical teacher and Resident Choreographer) and Irina Konstantinova & Sergey Konstantinov (Classical teachers).

The Australian Ballet School On Tour is set to elevate spirits and engage the sense of shared humanity that comes from a live performance. We can’t wait!

What a fantastic opportunity is to be back together safely, and we are grateful for the Restart Investment to Sustain and Expand (RISE) Fund – an Australian Government initiative – for supporting this tour.

Come and support the next generation of ballet stars and let's celebrate together all they have accomplished despite a challenging year.
