Level 8 On Tour: Spreading the joy of dance across the nation!

by The Australian Ballet School |

Since its inception in 1980, The Australian Ballet's national tour (formerly known as The Dancers Company or Regional Tour) has been a cherished tradition at our School.
Every year, as part of their final year of training, our dedicated students have the extraordinary opportunity to join the company and set off on
this exhilarating adventure. Across the expanse of Australia, they share the joy of dance with audiences in regional venues across the country. This cherished tradition enriches communities far and wide, dazzling spectators and inspiring young people to participate in dance.

The tour is an invaluable opportunity for our students to gain real-world experience of being part of a touring company, under the guidance and leadership of The Australian Ballet and the School.

This year our Level 8 students perform The Sleeping Beauty Act III by Marius Petipa and The Vow by our very own contemporary teacher Lucas Jervies

“It is a lively and engaging peice, danced and acted well by the cast with nicely individuated performances.” - Dance Australia Magazine.

During rehearsals, we asked two of our 2023 School Leaders to share their thoughts ahead of the tour.
