It was a joy to be back on stage for our annual Morning Melodies performances at Arts Centre Melbourne’s Hamer Hall and Clocktower Centre. Our talented artists-in-training shone on stage. They showcased their creative spirits, artistry and technique by performing various classic and contemporary pieces, taking our audiences on an inspiring journey.
This review in Theatre People reported that "Each piece allowed the students to demonstrate the wide variety of talents and dance forms, from classical ballet to more contemporary dance movement, presenting stand out solo moments as well as perfectly in sync ensemble work."
The program included the following works;
-Pas de Fleurs staged by Joanne Michel and Sabrina Lenzi. Performed by Level 7 & 8 female students.
-Waltz of Joy by Irina Konstantinova and Sergey Konstantinov. Performed by Level 6 students.
-Simon Dow's Teeter performed by Level 8 male students
-Stephen Baynes' Schubert Dances performed by Level 7 students
-Lucas Jervies' Jessica performed by Level 8 students.
Our return wouldn't be possible without the tireless work of our students and artistic staff preparing for this moment.
Thank you to our wonderful audiences for supporting the next generation of Australian dancers. It won't be long before our return to the stage in Sydney, under the lights!
