Alumna Kirby Selchow (2013)

Born in Perth, Kirby trained at the Graduate College of Dance before being accepted into The Australian Ballet School in 2009. After graduating from the School in 2013, Kirby joined the Royal New Zealand Ballet and has toured extensively with the company including America, UK, Italy and Hong Kong. 

Her career highlights include Hermia in Liam Scarlett’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Ethan Stiefel and Johan Kobborg’s Giselle, William Forsythe's In The Middle Somewhat Elevated, Lead Bandit in Carmen by Roland Petit, Jiří Kylián’s Petite Mort and Sechs Tänze, Bournonville’s Napoli and Flower Festival at Genzano, Andrea Schermoly’s Stand to Reason, Black Swan in Mário Radačovský Black Swan, White Swan and George Balanchine’s Divertimento No.15 and Serenade. The role of Gretel will be created on Kirby for the world premiere of Royal New Zealand Ballet's Hansel & Gretel by choreographer in residence Loughlan Prior.
