Auditions
The National Audition Tour
The National Audition Tour is conducted during June – August each year, visiting major cities around Australia. Students can choose to audition for the Full Time Programme, After School Programme or the Interstate/International Training Programme (to commence the following January). The audition consists of a modified class and a physical assessment. The class is specially structured to assess a range of criteria including coordination, musicality and physical suitability for the demands of The Australian Ballet School's Training Programme. No special preparation is required.

Sydney: The venue will be University of NSW (UNSW Dance Studios) Kensington Campus GATE 2 HIGH STREET NSW.

Brisbane: The venue will be the Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Kelvin Grove Campus, Victoria Park Road, Kelvin Grove, QLD 4059 (O-Block, Ring Road off Victoria Park Road).

Cairns: The venue will be the Turning Pointe Dance Studio, 185 Scott Street, Bungalow, Cairns, QLD 4870.
Perth: The venue will be The Graduate College of Dance, Perth Modern School, Cnr Hamilton Street & Subiaco Road, Subiaco, WA, 6008
Adelaide: The venue will be the Adelaide Centre for the Arts, 39 Light Square (cnr Currie & Morphett Streets), Adelaide, SA, 5000.

National DVD Auditions
National DVD Auditions (for Australian and New Zealand students) are accepted throughout the year, however possible vacancies for the following January intake cannot be guaranteed for DVD Auditions received after 30 June.

Auditions by Private Arrangement
Auditions by private arrangement (held in Melbourne) may be considered throughout the year, however where applicable, applicants are encouraged to audition during The National Audition Tour. Possible vacancies for the following January intake cannot be guaranteed for privately arranged Auditions held after 30 June. Auditions by private arrangement are subject to availability.
