Natalie has extensive training in Psychology. She completed her Bachelor of Applied Science (Psychology) in 2002 and PostGraduate Diploma in Psychology in 2003 at the University of Western Sydney. She then went on to work for five years in social research and consumer psychology. In 2009 Natalie moved to Melbourne where she gained her Masters in Applied Psychology (Sport Psychology) at Victoria University.
In 2010, as part of her Masters program, Natalie undertook a placement opportunity at The Australian Ballet School assisting Lucinda Sharp in delivering the performance psychology curriculum. It was during this time that she began to develop relationships with the students, and a connection with the school community. She delivered the performance psychology course in the 2011 summer school program, and continued to volunteer with the school until she took over the position of School Counsellor in June 2011.
As a teenager Natalie trained as an elite swimmer, striving for constant balance between her sporting, academic, social and family life. She is incredibly passionate about working with adolescent performers, in particular helping them to gain skills to assist them in all areas of life as well as performance. Natalie is also a keep performer herself, having been involved in the Latin dance community (both in Sydney and Melbourne) for the past 5 years.
