A message from The Director
I have been associated with The Australian Ballet School since its inception in 1964, firstly as a student, then as a teacher, Artistic Advisor and now Director.
For over forty five years we have continually produced dancers of the highest calibre for our parent company, The Australian Ballet, state companies and leading dance companies throughout the world.
The School offers an exciting, unique and creatively driven eight-year programme that provides the very best in vocational and educational training. Our holistic approach ensures all students have a broad-based, comprehensive education, which equips them to pursue vocations, not only in dance and the allied arts, but in areas outside dance.
The future direction of the School will take us along many challenging, exciting and creative paths. Our continuing expansion will enhance the training programme by providing better opportunities for dancers, aspiring choreographers and the teachers of the future.
